2005 Ottawa Magical Mystery Tour

17 July 2005

Slabbed up to Nepean on Friday, leaving Boston at 4pm and feeling the love of rush hour traffic until well past Concord, NH. Then came the rain. The reward of this stom was the clouds clearing as I was heading toward Montreal around sunset, making for a dramatic aerial display of form and colour.

The actual Magical Mystery Tour was on a beautifully sunny Saturday. Heading west from Ottawa and crossing the Québec/Ontario border several times, it ultimately arrived just south of Barry's Bay at the Chippewa campground, home of "Easy Living Camping" (leisure suits and cabana boys not included). Greg had treated us to many fine roads, both purposefully and accidentally, getting us to this outpost of the Algonquin Park.
